OGDEN, Utah (January 11, 2017) – Due to severe weather conditions in the Pacific Northwest, a pair of Big Sky Conference basketball games will be rescheduled.
Â
Two Big Sky institutions, Northern Arizona University and Portland State University, were set to play BigSkyMBB and BigSkyWBB gamesÂ
Thursday, with the women's game being played in Portland, while the Vikings' men's basketball program was set to travel to Flagstaff. Instead, the games will be played onÂ
Monday, Jan. 16, with the women's game tipping off atÂ
2:00 p.m. PST, in Portland. The men's game will start at 2:30 p.m. PST in Flagstaff.
Â
Saturday's scheduled contests will continue as planned with the Portland State women hosting Southern Utah. Likewise, the Portland State men's program will play the Thunderbirds, in Cedar City.
Â
The rescheduling is due to winter weather in Portland, which has hampered transportation in the city, along with affecting air travel in and out of the region. Due to heavy snow, Portland State's men's team was unable to fly out of the Portland airport for the Thursday game at NAU.
