Shelley Rumberger’s career at Portland State began and ended with National Championships in 1985 and 1988. She was a two-time All-Region selection as a middle blocker and earned All-American honors in 1988 as the Viking teams went 116-41 during her career.

Upon the completion of her career, Rumberger ranked fourth all-time at PSU in kills and blocks.
