Karen was the first PSU volleyball star. She was a key element in local recognition of the PSU volleyball program. Her success enhanced the recruitment of players for the PSU championship teams of the 1980’s.
Four-time AIAW All-Region.
PSU Co-Captain all four years.
1979 PSU Female Athlete of the Year.
Led team to four AIAW Regional Championships and tenth place nationally in 1979.
The Vikings lost one match in northwest competition during her four years.
Selected to the 1979 National Olympic Festival Volleyball team.
Signed to play pro volleyball.
