HEAD MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH, 1965-72
Marion Pericin led the Portland State basketball team from NAIA to NCAA University competition during his tenure. His teams had a reputation for speed and a ‘Go-Go’ attitude which attracted Northwest hoop fans looking for high excitement. In Pericin’s seven seasons, the Vikings hit the 100-point mark 44 times, becoming one of the highest scoring teams in the nation.

His 1970-71 team averaged 99.2 points per game. The 1966-67 team went to the NCAA College Division playoffs. His teams went 19-8 in his final two seasons to bring his PSU career record to 100-86.
