WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, 1993-96
In Kim Manifesto’s four seasons on the court the Vikings went 98-22 and were consistently ranked among the top 10 in the nation at the Division II level. Manifesto set seven school records and was a four-time All-Conference selection. She was honorable mention All-American in 1993-94 and a first-team All-America selection the following two seasons.
In 1995-96, Portland State was the only school in the country with two players represented on the All-America team, Manifesto and Kristi Smith. The two are the only Viking women’s basketball players to have their numbers retired following their playing careers.
Manifesto holds the single-game records for steals (11) and field goal percentage (.923) and is the only PSU player to record a triple-double (20 points, 10 assists, 11 steals). She also finished her career holding the season record for steals (152) along with career records for games played (119), games started (118), assists (698), and steals (525). She ranks in the top 10 all-time in scoring (1,446 points). Manifesto was also named the PSU team sport Athlete of the Year in 1995 and 1996.
