VOLLEYBAL COACHES, 1984-92
Jeff and Marty Mozzochi can likely claim the most successful coaching stint in any sport in Portland State history. Jeff (head coach) and Marty (assistant coach) led the Vikings to NCAA II National Championships in 1984, 1985, 1988, 1992. PSU was the runner-up in 1991 and fourth place in 1990. The Vikings reached the NCAA playoffs all nine years the coaching tandem led the program, compiling a  287-75 record (.793). The Mozzochis coached 19 All-Americans including four-time All-Americans Lynda Johnson and Leanne Peters.
They were Northwest Regional Coaches of the Year in 1987, 1991, 1992, State of Oregon Coach of the Year (Slats Gill Award) in 1985, and the State of Oregon Team of the Year in 1988 and 1992.
