WRESTLING, 1989-93
James Sisson was an integral part of Portland State’s 1989 and 1990 National Championship wrestling teams. Sisson won both national titles at different weights (134, then 142). In 1992, Sisson won another national title as PSU tied for second in the nation. Although he finished second in the nation in 1993, Sisson became an All-American for the fourth time. Twice named the Vikings’ Most Outstanding Wrestler, Sisson ranks tenth all-time at PSU with 85 career wins.
