VOLLEYBALL, 2010-13
Garyn Schlatter became the Big Sky’s first four-time first team All-Conference selection during her career. She was named the Big Sky’s Outstanding Freshman and the Big Sky’s Most Valuable Player as a senior. A setter, Schlatter led the Vikings to Conference Championships in 2010, 2012 and 2013. PSU’s Big Sky Tournament title in 2010 led the Vikings to their first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance. A three-time Big Sky Player of the Week, Schlatter finished her career with PSU Division I records in matches played and sets played, ranked third all-time in assists and total blocks, and sixth in service aces at the Division I level. She also holds the distinction of being the first PSU Hall of Fame legacy, following her mother, Terri Jo (volleyball, 1983-84), who was inducted in 2014.
