Shea Garcia joined the Portland State softball staff ahead of the 2025 season after a four-year playing career (2021-24) with the Vikings.

Garcia was a key contributor during her time on the field, helping Portland State to a Big Sky title in 2021, two semifinal appearances, and a runner-up finish. She played in 107 games, making 78 starts—primarily at third base—while recording 51 hits, 18 RBI, and a career-best .317 batting average as a freshman. Defensively, the Aptos, Calif., native totaled 54 putouts and 72 assists for a career .955 fielding percentage. As a senior in 2024, she posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 12 putouts and 8 assists.

Excelling in the classroom as well, Garcia earned four NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors and three Academic All-Big Sky selections. She graduated from Portland State in the spring of 2024 with a degree in political science and is currently pursuing her Master of Education at PSU.
