RESULTS

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Sophomore Genna Settle placed 15th among a stacked field in the women's 200 meters Friday at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
 
Settle finished the 200 in 24.17 seconds, her second-best time ever in the event.
 
Settle set a huge personal best in the 200 meters last week, as she finished in 23.92 seconds at the Scarlet & White Invitational. Settle's time last week moved her into the Big Sky lead in the event by close to two-tenths of a second, and vaulted her up to 36th in the nation. Settle also became just the second Viking woman to ever crack 24 seconds in the 200 meters, joining former PSU sprinting standout Karene King.
 
Settle and senior Jazmin Ratcliff will continue competition at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational Saturday, as Ratcliff competes in the 60-meter hurdles while each runner competes in the 60-meter dash.
