The sophomore from San Rapheal, Calif., native broke a record set back in 1998 by Leinani McAneney, besting the previous single-season wins mark of 14, and claiming the most conference victories in program history with seven, besting the six Yuki Sugiyama earned 2011.
Govi also proved lethal in doubles play, teaming with freshman,
Kelsey Frey, for a majority of the season and compiling a 10-4 record. She was 14-8 overall in doubles play.
“I'm really proud of Megan's accomplishments this year,” head coach
Jay Sterling said. “This is a testament to the depth of our team, that Megan, who played primarily from the No. 4 position, can make all-conference. The bottom half of our lineup was the engine that powered our season and we're excited about the kind of depth we've built on this roster.”
Meanwhile, Bechmann tied for the team lead in overall singles wins finishing the season with an 8-10 record, all compiled from the No. 1 spot. Likewise the junior from Strasbourg, France proved to be a force in doubles play, finding a groove with teammate

Abhinav Mishra. The highlight of Bechmann's season came against the University of Portland as he and Risenhoover downed the No. 57 doubles team in the nation to help clinch the doubles point for Portland State.
Both Govi and Bechmann helped continue the program's progression for their respective squads as both teams set program best marks for overall wins. The women's squad finished the season with a .500 record, going 12-12, which was the first time in school history where the program hadn't finished below .500.
