Zach Brown Set To Kick In Two All-Star Games

Portland State kicker Zach Brown will compete in two college all-star games this month as he attempts to impress NFL Scouts for the upcoming draft, April 25-27.

Brown, a senior from Keizer, OR, will kick for the West team in the Casino Del Sol all-star game this Saturday at Kino Stadium in Tucson, AZ. The game will be televised on the ESPN family of networks at 7 p.m.

On Jan. 19, Brown will play in the 88th annual East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL. That game airs at 1 p.m on the NFL Network. Brown will play for the West team, while former Viking football coach Jerry Glanville will coach the East team.

Brown, a 6-2, 215-pounder, holds virtually every Portland State kicking record after a banner career. Although he ranks high on NFL draft boards at the kicker position, Brown's performance will be important to his professional prospects after being injured for half of his senior season.

Brown had just four field goals in a season shortened to five games in 2012. But, he was a consensus first team All-American in 2011 after leading the nation in field goals made (24). Brown holds the PSU career record with 64 field goals made.
