Portland State Football will be televised a record nine times in the Portland area during the 2012 season. Comcast SportsNet will air six of those games, with four originating from JELD-WEN Field and two others being picked up from opponent feeds on the road.
CSNNW will air home games against Carroll (Sept. 1), Southern Utah (Sept. 22), Idaho State (Oct. 6) and Eastern Washington (Nov. 17), as well as pick up feeds of road games at North Dakota (Sept. 8, MidCo Sports) and Cal Poly (Oct. 20, KSBY).
The Vikings' Sept. 15 game at Washington will be nationally televised on FX. On Sept. 29, the Viking game at Northern Arizona will air on Fox Arizona Plus, and be available on a variety of satellite providers.
Root Sports will air the Portland State vs. Montana State game on Nov. 10 as the Big Sky Conference Game of the Week.
Portland State had five televised games in 2011 as CSNNW originated two games and picked up three opponent feeds. That is the most ever prior to this season. In 2001, PSU also had five games televised in the local area.
MOUSE IS BACK!
Portland State's televised home games will feature legendary Viking Coach Mouse Davis on the call. Bob Akamian will handle play-by-play duties once again with Davis joining him in the booth as the analyst.
