BOISE, Idaho – The Portland State men's tennis team completed day one of the Boise State Fall Classic on Friday as the team struggled a bit through the first day of the tournament. Sophomore Nate Chart secured PSU's lone win in singles play during the tournament's first day.

Chart defeated Gus Orland of SU, 6-4, 6-1 and moved onto the next round where he fell to Boise State's Brian Foley, 6-0, 6-0.
The Viks also tallied a win in doubles play as sophomore Brent Wheeler and freshman Ian Risenhoover advanced in the first round of the bracket, defeating Gill/Micov of the University of Portland, 8-6.

Antione Bechmann nearly recorded a victory in his first taste of action as a member of the Portland State Vikings falling in a hard fought battle against Diego Campos of Montana State, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (2).

Portland State will compete in day two of the tournament tomorrow. Check back to Goviks.com for tournament updates for the second day of the Boise State Fall Classic.
