The Portland State Football program will host a pair of barbecues in the coming weeks following two preseason scrimmages.

PSU opens practice this Sunday and will have its first scrimmage at Stott Community Field on Saturday, August 13 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Following that scrimmage the Viking coaching staff will host a free barbecue at the Stott Center for high school and youth football coaches from Oregon and Washington. The barbecue will run from 1-2 p.m. and will be an opportunity to meet PSU coaches and players. High school and youth coaches are also invited to come back to the Viking coaching offices and view scrimmage film with PSU coaches.

On August 20, Portland State will host another scrimmage from 10:30-1. Following that scrimmage will be a Viking Football Alumni Club barbecue from 1-2 p.m. All Club members may take part in the barbecue for free. Non-club members may join the barbecue for $10.
