PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland State men and women's cross country teams are set to compete this Saturday at the Beaver Classic at Avery Park in Corvallis, Ore. hosted by the Corvallis Running Project. The women's 6,000-meter race is set to start at 9:45 a.m. with the men's 8,000-meter race slated for 10:45.
The Vikings are coming off of an impressive performance last weekend at the adidas/Cross Country Classic at Fernhill park.
Zach Carpenter finished fourth in the team finishes and 11th overall in the men's 8,000 with a time of 25:23 to help the the Vikings' men's team to a fifth place finish.
In the women's 5,000,
Brittany Castillo finished 32nd overall with a time of 18:49.
Keikoanne Hollins finished in a time of 19:12 while
Lora Ross and
Victoria Dinu finished in times of 22:05 and 22:13 respectively.
Following this weekend in Corvallis, the Vikings gear up for the Big Sky Conference meet in Pocatello, Idaho hosted by Idaho State on Saturday, Oct. 29.
